I'm just separating them for scrap value, they came out of a seized 307
engine. The pistons are scored and the rods are to short to use in a 350 I'm
trying to build. The scrap yard I go to will pay more for metal that is
separated (ferrous/non-ferrous) than for a pile of mixed metal dumped on the
ground.
If I had a band saw I'd just cut the pistons in half where the wrist pins are
and call it a day.
