| subject: | Garbage in the nodelist |
Hello Michiel! 23 May 05 17:03, you wrote to me: MV>>> Please explain what is wrong with my listing. >> You for starters.. :-0 MV> Me? I think you are mixing levels here. It is not me that is in the MV> nodelist, it is my system. MV> Perhaps you should file a proposal for a SIG user flag. (Sysop Is MV> Garbage). If it gets adopted you can pester me for not carrying it. MV> ;-) SIO, Sysop is Obtuse/obstinent ??? or SIHH Sysop Is Hard Headed >> Me speechless, never. MV> Yeah, that's one of your liabilities. You'v never heard of "silence is MV> golden"... Yes I have but someone has to counteract you.. Its my duty. MV>>> I am offering advice to Carol. None of your business. >> and the listings in Z6 are none of your business, MV> That is your opinion to which you are entitled. MV> My opinion is that nodelist clerks are servants who can be held MV> accountable by those they serve: i.e. anyone sysop who's system is MV> affected by how they maintain the nodelist. But Carol isnt your servant, Ward might be, but I dont know how he feels about servitude, dont want to speak for him. >> of course if you need the HD space for what you perceive to be a >> trashy nodelist, I could dig out of the trashcan one of 6 IDE HDD's >> I tossed yesterday? MV> I appriciate the offer, but thanks but no thanks. I am trying to get MV> rid of the obsolete stuff myself. Last week I dumped half a dozen MV> monitors, some printers and a scanner: Are you dumping them in a environmentally friendly manner. Last year my employer teamed up with Hewlett Packard, we advertised the fact and allowed customers to drop off their old computer equipment, monitors, printers, computers etc, once a week I shrunk wrapped them and sent them back on one of our daily crossdock trucks, they were then forwarded to HP who moved it to one of their reclaimation facilities. I am not sure but if the stuff was refurbishable they would repair it and donate it to charity, else the environmental nasties were removed or rendered inert, rare metals extracted and the stuff ground down and disposed of. It was a success but the practice discontinued, it was labor intensive. == Ross Fidonet Feeds Or Fidonet In Your Newsreader! http://www.easternstar.info Blog Or Discussion Forum: http://www.cassell.us Email: ross[at]cassell[dot]us ...
