AFA your modem is concerned, it shouldn't notice any difference between
transferring compressed email or archived program files, therefore I'd
reasonably expect your problem to be somewhere in the binkley setup.

Could be significant. Mine only ever says "transfer cancelled"
if I manually abort the file transfer. Otherwise, I start seeing ZedZap
block resends before it finally aborts after (I think) 10 failed attempts
at resending the same block.

Famous last words, I know, but I very much doubt it's your modem.

JG> Who knows what'll work with this piece of Netcomm shit.

Well, that's another problem entirely, but I really doubt it's particularly
relevant to your current problem. |-)

Yep, and the fact that your email transfers work fine would tend to
eliminate the modem as the cause. You could try physically moving the file
to be uploaded to your \OUTBOUND directory first, and edit binkey.cfg
accordingly. As your mail is currently sent successfully from this
directory, I simply can't see why any other file shouldn't upload
satisfactorily as well.

Also, if the file to be sent already resides in your specified upload
directory, there should be no need to enter the full path information at
the Binkley Alt-S prompt. If this works (and I fully expect it to), stop
worrying and simply make it the default. |-)
