OK, if you had given the prefix, (I don't remember if you did or not),
I could have looked that up.  S5A to S5Z is indeed Slovenia.
 
(Without getting into politics here), I am curious how life is for you
now, since the dissoloution of the USSR?  Or didn't that effect you?

That's an interesting bit of trivia.  If all your calls have 3 letters,
that wuld be at least 17,576 possible _if_ my math is correct.  If you
add 1- and 2- letter calls it would be somewhat more.  That's a lot of
Hams for 2 Million people in the population... that's at least one Ham
for every 113 people!  Ok, I know it isn't actually that high, but it
would have to get close to that before the ITU would have to authorize
another series.   ;-}
