I started with Real World Programming for OS/2 2.1, but I found it to be
a bit intermediate for me. I purchased Petzolds's PM for OS/2 book and
it got me started very well. I have gone off on a couple of programming
tangents using his code as a starter base. That is a good sign to me.

I had previously also purchased the QUE book, OS/2 PM Programming Guide,
Volume II, of three. It may be listed as out of print, but you should be
able to track it down. It isn't a starter book, but w/ a little bit of
PM coding under your belt, it contains a ton of information. I may have
finally tracked down the third in the series, Graphics Programming.
This is the series in the IBM Technical Library, and is referenced in
the tech references.
