The high altitude "edge" that most non-Rockies personnel seem to think is
behind their stats is what I was referring to. Despite a 4-2 first trip
record (they swept Montreal!), I am inclined to agree that it MAY be a
fluke...but then so is the Marlins' streak...
Larry Walker is healthy and so is Ellis Burke. Bichette is about 75% and
getting stronger. And it was a lot later in the season, last year when
our starting pitchers finally started carrying as much of the load as
Mark Thompson, Jamie Wright, and Roger Bailey have done this spring.
If the pitching can stay this solid, they could do like the 95 season,
or better.
