Hello Paul,

PE> My car got broken into last Saturday night AGAIN.

You mean they still haven't taken the carpet out yet?

PE> This time the police took fingerprints (on Monday). I want to obtain
PE> a silent alarm, and I will ring 000 when it goes off. What's the
PE> cheapest option I have? BFN. Paul.

No real cheap option for alarm center calling type systems. They don't call
000, but another security place, and this type of system is usually used for
houses/offices. You would need a mobile phone for a car type arrangement.
Most likely they would take the phone anyway.

There have been some "car tracker" prototype systems, where a
gps system is
installed in the car, and it transmits its location if stolen. Might be a
bit expensive for the sigma though.

I think your only real cheap option is to take the carpet out, then there
will be nothing left to steal, they've taken just about everything else.
