My car got broken into AGAIN tonight.  Some time between 12 noon and
10:30pm. They took the bloody knob off my gearstick!  It was a red knob
with a redback spider in it.  Fortunately I have a spare knob.  I hope
(it's in the glove compartment).  BFN.  Paul.

P.S. I want my car breakins detected.  Please give me details of technology
totalling less than $400 that will alert me (SILENTLY! [to the thieves]),
so that I can take some action (including calling 000).  The thieves won't
be expecting to end up with someone so obsessed with thief catching instead
of deterrence.  BFN.  Paul.
