Heh heh heh heh...sheesh! I think this "therapist" claimed to be doing
that sort of thing also.

I think sometimes an animal's moods and feelings can be sensed, but I
believe it to be due to observation and simply knowing the animal, and
sometimes its an observation at a subconcious level, but not mind
reading. The closer you are to your pet, the easier it is to do.
... Therapy helps, but screaming obscenities is cheaper.
