Good idea. I remember I gave R F to everyone on our lan for my home
directory ....... After they did what they had to do (I gave it to everyone
because it was easier then typing out 40 out of 900 User names!)... When I
trided to remove the rights , I didn't even think that by removing ALL rights
to my directory from the group EVERYONE, I AM IN THAT GROUP!!.. so I lost all
rights to my own DIRECTORY!!!..... thank god it was a Friday, Gave me till
monday to think of how to kissup to the admin and break it to him that i lost
all rights to my Directory!.... ARG!..... Speaking of this, I feel kinda
stupid asking this but, I am in the same situation.... Everyone has R F to a
sub directory in my Home directory, i want to remove all rights from everyone
else BUT ME!!!!!!!....(and admin, sysop etc)... Can I put somthing like
revoke R F for from everyone BUT ....
or somthing like...
:start
initialize {line} varible to 1
read in {line} from userlist text file
revoke r f for from {user}
incriment {line+1}
reread {line} from userlist textfile
revoke command again
etc. etc.
or.... remove myself from the group everyone, revoke the rights, addmyself
to everyone again.
I am sure there is an easier way..... but like I said i already feel stupid
for asking so PLEASE>>>>,,, .. be gental .. :)
