Nope. It is depending to what you want to do.
If you are using only C (text mode 8Mb will be enough). For GUI C++ programming
16 Mb of RAM should be enough. 24Mb is recommended for using of Visual Builder
and other VisualAge stuff which are added in this version of C++.
But more memory makes your 'calculator' faster. :)

Or you should make compromises which part of VisualAge C++ to install.
