The society here that does a lot of recycling (lazarus.org) does not
accept anything older than a Pentium III. Not so sure about places
like Amvets, GoodWill, Salvation Army but suspect that they might be
the same.
The local county dump has a bin just for junk computers. Every now
and then someone takes them and strips them for metal content etc.
