PE> Which reminds me... PE> Rod Speed, Brenton Vettoretti and Frank Malcolm, you are PE> sending me a 00000000.PKT, when you could instead be sending PE> me a 00000000.MO0 which is compressed. In the name of not PE> being inconsiderate arsewipes, why don't you add a "zip -9k PE> 00000000.MO0 00000000.PKT" to your batch files? I'd be surprised if it would even save a second. The modem is doing the compression instead of the archiver and the compression achieved is about the same. The current way is more thoroughly tested. I've just this am been fanged on the arse by yet another problem which caused lost outgoing mail without the slightest hint of an error message. I happened to notice because I do informally compare the size of the uploaded PKT with what I expect it to be and it seemed too low. It was too low when I checked. Basically I'm not keen on changing a damned thing which is working until I have a decent update checking scheme in place. --- PQWK202* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
