Hmmm...I've just noticed that I had set the PCMCIA modem to a
maximum connect rate of 9600 Baud. I remember doing this the other
day when I had problems getting a connect, obviously I wrote it to
the NOVRAM and forgot to change it back to 14k4, hence my 9600
connects. I'll try the 14k4 from the batphone sometime this weekend
when you are in and we can see ho wit goes. Perhaps the problem
before which was resulting in a failure at rates in excess of 1200
Baud was being caused by the old Spirit ?
