Well with Tim's post its clear where TG is going for
the future. I guess I am kinda relieved and regretful
        in the same way.

I did mention I would code TG if tim ever offered it
in IRC way back in the '90s. He knew that. Some
others did as well. Yes, I was dreading being asked
since it would be a large under taking. But for my
love of TG knowing me I couldn't say no.

Its sorry to see TG die but life moes on....

TG had a great run of over 20 years. Compared to many
software that were just born this century that's a
long haul. We've had some great authors over the
        years including Tim.

I may be biased but TG has always stayed its own against
other softwares. It NEVER had serious issues that
prevented it to be used. Minor bugs and minor issues
yes. But nothing like a bug in some softwares where
it had to be downgraded to previous versions to use.

Folks who tended not to like it either couldn't understand
how to set it up or didn't like having to find other
support programs like tossers. But I actually prefer the
open nature of it. It allowed YOU to make the decision
of the software to use rather than some built in thing with
features you may not fully like. Softwares with tossers
and such in it once there are hard to rip out.

The crowd of beta sites and alpha sites were also top
notch over the years compared to other softwares (bbs
and non-bbs) I've chaired or heard about.

The user base for TG was also great over the years. We
had many folks who would help each other.

TG will always be a part of BBS history. It will always
be a part of my life of 20 years dedicated to a hobby
        I enjoyed.

        To the users...
        To the Beta Sites...
        To the Alpha Sites...
        To the Authors...

Thanks for a great piece of software!

TG deserves a honor and this is my small part to her.

(Though it may not be as eloquent as it could be)
