Sorry the best I can do is to draw from the ABC library and they are
both in QuickBasic:
	SAVEPCX and BASICBMP
Neither seem totally adequate but they may give you some ideas!

I have been contemplating a Danish commercial program called PCXDUMP
which appears to give a simple link to a Pascal program. For my own
problem I would then have to run a compact utility (19k) called
CVTGIF.

This though is a VERY long-winded solution. With QB at least having
something to offer , I wonder why PB Inc isn't proving the superiority
of their product by offerng a solution! (I know they're busy - but it
would be nice).

Thanks for responding anyway - I was beginning to think no-one cared!!
