Cops are people, after all.  The anti-gunners tend to forget this, except 
when they push for cops checking their guns at the door as they leave 
work.
I can usually pick out cops at the range.  I make an effort to speak with 
them, casually, so they can talk to gun owners without any fears of 
appearing inadequate in shooting knowledge or capability.  Some are 
receptive.
