Hi, Paul.

PE> PE>> This time the police took fingerprints (on Monday). I

PE> JT> No real cheap option for alarm center calling type systems. They don't

PE> JT> call 000, but another security place, and this type of system is usuall

PE> JT> used for houses/offices. You would need a mobile phone for a car type
PE> JT> arrangement. Most likely they would take the phone anyway.

PE> They have baby alarms, I'm not sure of the details, and they have walkie
PE> talkies, what's so expensive about the technology I need?

There's a thought, a cheap baby alarm - the baby end in the car and the
parent end in your unit. However, I think many of them work by putting
the signal on the power lines, you'd need to find one that didn't. Run
the house end off a wall-wart so you'd only be up for batteries in the
car end one.

Regards, fIM.
