What, you mean that I am not the only one not running a DOS/Windows system?

I am sure that there is software for the mac to control communications
devices, including scanners... I am on a 68k machine too (Amigas) and have
found several great utilities, and have hacked out a few myself too.
Ferinstance, I control a Kenwood HF rig via a quickly hacked out ARexx (a
scripting language) program, and wrote another (again in ARexx) to control
the AOR8000 and to move data back and forth between it and a database (I
don't even have an AOR, did it for a friend). Anything my Ami can do,
another 68k machine can do just as well (and probably better if you have a
PPC604 in yours)...

I update my USR modems with no problems without the aid of a DOS/Windows
machine... I mean I do have a couple of the things in the house but have
never HAD to use them. Same way with the Supra's I use... They all use Flash
ROMs and you xmodem upload new firmware to them.
Now, back to your original deal with the nodelist...
WHAT EXACTLY were you needing that you never found? Maybe I can help ya'
t.
