Have you tried HS-link yet?  I use QMPro153dos and a 288 modem.  HS appears
to work just fine, but one claim I have yet to see is true bi/modem being 
ent
at the same time.  Sure I don't have to send and then receive, but I don't
see the send and receive lights on at the same time, they alternate.  Maybe
the only thing different is less transfer overhead.
