    Position the cursor on the first character of the first word you want to 
process.
    Record a Macro with the following key strokes:
          
    Press the key under which you've saved your macro once.
    You may repeat the key press if the number of conversions is small, but 
if you have many conversions to make you may type  Q and enter the 
number of repetitions desired; you can afford to be liberal as no harm will 
be done when the macro is executed at the end of the file.
