subject: field day antennas

-> Having just completed another successful field day, I was interested
-> in
-> knowing what type of antennas most stations use on 80 and 40 meters?
-> Here in
-> BC, Canada, we require an antenna for these bands which has some
-> gain. What
-> are your suggestions for next year?
 The El Cajon California Club used an Inverted V held up by a campground
Flagpole and a 3 element bram on top of a portable military surplus 40
ft tower. Don't have the exact results but reportedly both worked quite
well. Of course being on top of a 5000 Ft hill with a Clear shot to the
Northeast helped.  :-)
