DB>evening out there but I just HATE those little pests!! Is there a spray
I sit her in my 15th floor apartment, staring out through the fog-
laden skies at the wet snow that draped itself across town
yesterday, and I ask myself "Why should I help someone who
already has a hammock, patio, park, TV and , I shouldn't be at
all suprised, a soda pop and ice-cream?".
And then I think, "Oh well, maybe one day I too will settle in a
civilised spot".
I don't think that you will *ever* get rid of the
gnats. They will go only when nature decides that
it's time for them to go.
You may, however, be able to get them to believe
that there is something more interesting than
you in your immediate neighbourhood. I know that
there isn't, but we may be able to fool the
gnats.
Try using a bright-yellow insect light to draw
the gnats to the light, rather than to your
peanut-butter sandwich. Such lights can usually
be purchased in the supermarket or drugstore. Try
also stringing up strips of bright yellow plastic
smeared with vaseline. The insects that are
attracted to the light may find themselves glued
to the strips.
