Well according to my Binkley logs, going to V42bis has added
approximately 2 seconds to the time before I get a Yoohoo from
you.  However, could you tell me whether you get the alarm when
you connect via telix, and press any key to continue?  If so,
there is an operator-delay wildcard included.  If you have the
alarm disabled, then the timing should be accurate, although
we'll see from your next connect if it is consistent.  Assuming
it is a consistent 2 seconds slower, perhaps you can try using
MNP4 to see if that is quicker?  BFN.  Paul.
