PE>> Brenton, can you try connecting with V42bis instead of MNP5, PE>> I want to see what effect, if any, that has WRT to the time PE>> taken before I receive a yoohoo. BFN. Paul. BV> 'hokay - Is this any better ? PE> Well according to my Binkley logs, going to V42bis has added PE> approximately 2 seconds to the time before I get a Yoohoo from PE> you. However, could you tell me whether you get the alarm when PE> you connect via telix, and press any key to continue? If so, PE> there is an operator-delay wildcard included. Yep, there sure is an operator induced wildcard delay to be factored into your calculations. There doesn't seem to be any way to get Telix to go on-line immediately, regardless as to the setting for the ALARM status. I usually just press the space-bar as soon as it is connected, but I do fall asleep sometimes :) Regards, Brenton @EOT: ---* Origin: TestPoint (3:711/934.7) SEEN-BY: 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
