DW> Syd does have the vivid orange cheek patches. The only sign of lacing is
n
DW>the outer edges of his wings.I'm sure he is a pied-lutino but in this neck
DW>of the woods thats a rarity.Breeders here stick with Greys and Lutinos,
ne
DW>of his parents must have had a recessive yellow gene.
Lutinos are usually yellowish, some more so than others. If he's a
lutino-pied, that means that both parents carried the pied genes, and,
depending on the colors of his parents, either the father, or both
parents carried the lutino gene too.
DW> If I may take a few minutes (ok I rambled) I'll tell you about Crickets
DW>(canary)remarkable story.

DW>one of his most favorite things is when the Budgies fly to his cage and
it
DW>for their daily visit.
That is an amazing story! I'm always awed by how well birds recover from
injuries that would permanently incapacitate humans. And how forgiving
they can be--a human in the same situation would almost certainly hate
ALL budgies forever after having been attacked by one! Cricket is very
lucky that you were there to take him in!
