SS> Herbs, mostly. So far I have sage, rosemary, lemon balm, spearmint,
SS> and yarrow (the last 3 are still inside-I planted the seeds a month
SS> ago). I'm about to start some lavender. The main thing I've noticed
SS> about Florida is that it's extremely wet! So I've got most everything
SS> in pots. I still have a list a mile long of stuff that I want .
I have rosemary, spearmint, wooly applemint, lemon thyme,
oregano, and marjaram. I have the rosemary in the ground,
everytime I grew one in a pot I killed it, but this one has been
happy in the ground now for several years. Most of my herbs I
grow in pots though. I have a Cuban oregano in a pot I just
tried recently, it seems to grow like a weed. It has a nice
variegated leaves and smells very good.....well good if you like
pizza and spaghetti. Good luck with your lavender. I've
never tried it but I understand it doesn't like Florida weather
real well. Are you new to Florida Gardening?
