I'm - "seventin", call to Hal!
Hi everywone! I'm new here! :-)
SB>>>> А здесь что, нельзя?
HH>>> Huh???
KJ>> Let me guess, Hal. Your computer isn't set up to display
KJ>> Cyrillic characters (the Russian alphabet).
HH> You've certainly got that right, Keith. Even if it was, my grasp of
HH> the Russian language is limited to "da","nyet", and
HH> "dasvedanyah"(sp?), so it surely wouldn't have made any difference.
How about "vodka", "perestroika" and "glasnost"? ;)
If you know "dasvedanyah" (engl. - "good bye"), you may learn "privyet" -
"hi".
And gys, you would to write "shtoormovik" (attack plane like Il-2, Il-10 or
Su-25), not a "stormovik". It's from russian "shtoormovat'" - "to attack
ground
targets".
I hope, I don't too didacticaly... :)
KJ>> I sent a message (in Latin characters but in Russian words) to
KJ>> the original posting, asking him to use English language only,
KJ>> and Latin characters. I think Sergei was doing the same in
KJ>> Cyrillic (I didn't switch my machine over to check).
P.S. Sorry about my (perhaps) terrible english.
Dixi. Andrey Platonov.
