Not really, to be honest in such a homogeneous nation such as ours, I
seldom notice a persons genealogical history. There are so many of
Oriental extraction here in Michigan, my home base, that they no longer
stand out as different but are just other people. In that environment
I believe I would have to think hard to separate the makers of the
pictures I like, from the pictures I like, based on their countries or
origin. And I don't like to think to hard. It could become a habit
and ruin a fine personal history of rebellion in thinking.

In the natural settings I envision, I'm afraid a family would not fit
the fantasy. Old guys are kind of funny you know. Somewhere in or
around the mid fifties, a loaf of bread, a jug of wine and thou, turned
back into a bag of burgers, a six pack and a quick roll in the grass
from my youth. Now I understand the second childhood thing better.

Yep, different strokes for different folks.

Only the manual for my new Coolpix 8700..
I am pretty darn happy now photographic wise. I sent my video camera
in for repair on the Mack warranty and it came back last Friday. I've
heard many complain about their services but I couldn't be more
pleased. I sent it in complaining that it was mangling tapes on
rewind. I had a suspicion that it wasn't really the cameras fault, but
mine for being so cheap and reusing tapes so often. The Mack people
sent it back to the manufacturer, where the entire tape drive assembly
was replaced with new, all the electronics were replaced with new, and
even the LCD monitor, which I had screwed up rubbing it too hard trying
to remove a spill was fixed. The only original thing that came back
was the metal box and the lens system. That coupled with the chance to
finally finish off a video project that had been cluttering up 50 gig
of hard drive space since last November.
It is spring outside and the world is a lovely place, and I have a new
toy, the 8700 and a reborn old toy, to record it with. Doesn't get any
better than this. That is if you don't have a brewery in the
background.
