JP> Nevertheless, even assuming the C++ Working Paper as an ISO standard JP> there are still three items that are non-conformant (wrong return type JP> from `main', POSIX 1003 extension for environment pointer, and missing JP> header). JJP> JP> There's a whole echo devoted to the C++ language, incidentally, where JP> these sorts of discussions are better placed. It's called CPLUSPLUS. I stand (well, actually I'm sitting) humbled and corrected. Personally, I find the whole thing boring. Particularily when it comes to return types for main(), or deviations in library files. In the latter case, all I want is clear documentation from the vendor. If Borland leaves out an unused parameter in _beginthread(), and I require cross-compiler compatibility, I can always create a macro, within precompiler conditionals of course. What matters to me is the fact that the Borland OS/2 compiler isn't working! I don't recall seeing a CPLUSPLUS echo. Perhaps I have no access to it.
