After such a bold assertion, I decided to try it out myself, and
dialed Paragon, a BBS where I have a linked script.  There was
NO CONNECT BOX when I connected, it went straight into the script.
From distant memory, I think when I originally started writing 
logon scripts I used to add an "alarm" function to the end of
them to wake me up when I had logged on.

I don't know about the bit on the end, I haven't looked at that 
yet, but there is more to the 2*3-second delays than just "blame
Paul", as you can see by people using Binkley, there is no 
delay like you see with Tinypoint.  I think the problem is more
likely to be with Binkley et al using Zmodem-extensions...
