I think the echo should go back to Ken, and if he wants he could
appoint Blake as his assistant. I don't imagine when you offered to
return the echo to Ken a while back you made any stipulations, and I
don't think there should be any now. He owned the echo, and lost if
through misfortune, so I think we should give it back, since you
aren't going to moderate it anymore.
Every so often someone I know becomes strapped for cash in order to
have money to pay an unexpected bill. Usually, they will offer to
sell something they own for a fraction of it's cost, to help raise
money. In a case such as this, if I buy the item from them, I tell
them that anytime they want it back they can have it back for the
same price. I would consider anything less to be dishonorable, and
would feel like I was taking advantage of them. This situation with
Ken is a little different, but since he started the echo, and since
you won't be moderating it anymore, then I think it should go back
to him.
I don't think netmail should be a factor either. Netmail is easy to
fix or take care of. If he continued to have a problem with a
particular bbs, there are many others that he could use, or he could
become a Point. If he doesn't moderate the echo very good, then
everyone can move to the other radio echo, or Blake or someone else
could start one of their own.

I have no problem with Blake, I think he would do a good job with
the echo, but for the above reasons, I think it should go to Ken.
When Ken was an active moderator, I think he did an excellent job. I
sent netmail to him a number of times, and he always responded
promptly.
