Sorry to hear about your son being arrested.  I'm sure it must be 
frustrating as a parent to not know how to help your child overcome 
this fixation.  So far my son isnt to the point of "NEEDING" to have 
knives.  He has just recently become fixated.  I wasnt sure if it was 
due to a side effect of medications or something else.  I havent had 
much luck finding a Dr. that is knowledgeable enough about ADD.  My 
current Doctor at least is willing to learn I have given him books to 
read and info about conferences.  He has so far been receptive so maybe 
there is hope.  Good luck to you with your son.
