Get all manually installed packages in the last 12 months:
zcat /var/log/apt/history*gz | grep 'install '
(this also catches uninstall but not purge)

If you want more than 12 months, change that number in the settings file
/etc/logrotate.d/apt (obviously sooner than 12 months after a fresh
install).
