GEORGE ELTING was thinking about Now that I've.... and keyed into
cyberspace:
GE>CC>I would be intrested in chatting with you if that is ok. I have
GE>CC>ADD and I was wondering I am having a hard time trying to get onto
GE>CC>disability because I am physically capiable of working yet some
GE>CC>days as you know probably very your mind can't concerate and an
GE>CC>employer wouldn't put up with it cuz he can just as easily find
GE>CC>someone to replace you who can do the job quicker than us (People
GE>CC>with ADD & ADH) Plus the discrimation that we go through just
GE>CC>because ours is not seen like someone who has downsydrome. We
GE>CC>(People with ADD & ADH) are told we are trying to get a free ride
GE>CC>and were faking it and stupid ingornant thoughts like that.
GE>
GE> Actually, I don't think you need to go on disability, but you do
GE>need to learn to overcome AD(H)D with the tools at hand. Most
GE>reputable psychiatrists will help you with it. And sometimes meds
GE>help, but learning the tricks to overcome it are most helpful.
Learning how to use those "tricks" is far easier with meds, and more
effective.
