It was true for me from version 2 on but recently I've switched to
crazybrowser because MS won't address the popup problem. You really have to
wonder why not too..

This certainly was true for me - I was using NutScrape on Win95/98 early
on, then switched to IE/OE when I got tired of NS trashing my email on a
almost weekly basis and NS's all too common hangs and sudden evaporations.
In the years since, I never had IE/OE trash any email and the crash rates
declined dramatically.
I never looked back. Occasionally I'll download a new NS release, decide
that its way too slow/buggy and toss it away for another 9 months.
