No, I rarely see it either.  What is the concept of the 'scout' scope?  
Sounds like a long eye releif deal.  I am interested, since this is what 
I want to do to the 10/22 eventually, when I re-work and float the 
barrel, I want to mount the scope directly to the barrel, to eliminate 
and possible flex between the scope mount and the barrel, namely the 
receiver/barrel joint.  Maybe _this_ is what I should bed...
