-=> Quoting Graeme Geldenhuys to All <=-
GG> Can someone help me with the pro's and cons for these compilers:
GG> EMX
Pros:
Freeware, with full source code available.
Internet support mailing list, author is active.
Cons:
A bit complicated to get all the required files (just finding them all)
setup.
No documentation for the Win* or Gpi* API's, that I could find.
GG> Watcom C++
Never used it, but I'd like to get it one day.
GG> Borland C++ for OS/2
Pros:
Super fast at compiling, works great with 8 megs RAM.
IDE easy to use and setup.
Indellible Blue has had it on sale for $99... :-)
Cons:
Lots of people gripe about bugs, but I'm not enough of a power programmer
to worry about this, yet and maybe never...
