That's what my "research" has said too... however, in one
pet store around here, the owner is selling hand-fed lories
which eat a special solid pelleted diet, supplemented with
fresh fruit and fruit cocktail (from a can). I checked out
their cages and their poop looks pretty much like any other
bird's. I imagine if you kept it in a cage with an acrylic
guard halfway up the sides, and a seed-catcher it wouldn't
be too bad. I was more concerned with their noise level...
the Resident Dude around here does NOT want another noisy
bird! Their voices are funny, aren't they?
