No it isn't. It either has auto-netmail abilities or it doesn't. :)
AS> Yes, I'm right OLX-TD certainly does

I'm still not convinced it does.

OK, so we have now established that it has a netmail directory.
This may be little more than a simple address list (a scaled down node
list).
I'd still like to know what QWK doors it supports (if any), and how the
user defines what conference and what format should be used on any
particular QWK door.
I would *guess* that the user must select the conference in some way,
however I am more interested in how they (or OLX) determines the correct
format for the address.
A simple explanation may be in order, because I feel that you have
little or no idea what I mean.
Assuming both QWKRR and OLR have no netmail support at all and I called
a BBS running the MkQwk mail door.
To sent netmail with *any* QWK OLR you must.
1. Select the netmail conference.
2. Place the users name in the TO field.
3. The subject line must contain the destination fido address
(preceeded with "{at}")
4. The first line of the message should contain the text "Subj:"
followed by the actual subject.
Now, if I happen to log onto a MAXIMUS BBS and tried this the message
will be rejected because MAXIMUS expects to find the subject text where
it normally does, at it also expects to find the destination address as
the first line of the message (preceeded by "To:").
There are *at least* 10 other variations used by the different mail
doors.
AS> [E]ntering a Name followed by {at}
AS> 3:633/272, which will then route it via
AS> Netmail at the host board.
This is one of the formats used by TBBS/OSO doors. It will not work
with maximus, or MkQwk, or, Ezycon, or SBBS, or PCboard or, or, or
(the list goes on and on).
So I ask again, how does OLX determine which format to use at any
particular time, and how many different formats does it "know".
I *need* this information not because I doubt you, or want to prove you
wrong, but because if OLX supports formats that I'm not aware of then
I'd like to include them in future QWKRR updates.
AS> Thank you so much.....
Thank you too. (unless you ignore this simple request) :-(
Cheers
Rod
