Yup, it's a fluid ounce. The reason I use them is because UK pints are 5/4ths
US pints, and as I'm English by birth, if I post recipes with pints, people
won't know which kind I mean. If I DO post recipes with pints, they will
usually be reposts of recipes I've grabbed here or elsewhere, and will
probably therefore by US (16 fl oz) pints.
