But Bjorn, the culture may be such that the women are not asking for a
¨nodenumber at all. Please, dont beat up the Russian community culture if
this ¨is the case.
We should be selecting our *C's based on experience and capability. If
Russia ¨runs the 10% rough average i seem to see, then they might have 10%
female NC's ¨but if the ladies are those I have dealt with in Z1, most just
want to run a ¨system and have no interest in growing to NC or above
levels. Those who are ¨interested, will get there if they want to at the
same rate as the men do.
When Z1 hit 30% female sysops, they had 5% *C's or roughly that. This was
not ¨sexism, but lack of interest on their part to be *C's, or lack of
technical ¨experience.
If you have a vote for 2 candidates for a job, will you select the best
suited ¨one or select based on sex? I will select the best suited one with
a small eye ¨to gender if the group is large enough to allow for that
'evening' of the ¨balance and the experience is very close.
Sorry my friend, but as a female sysop, I object to the idea that if a net
has ¨2 qualified NC candidates, they have to select the female one just to
balance ¨things even if she's not as qualified. Thats just flat out wrong.
