PF>> Personally, I hope you can turn this off -- I PF>> think C-A-D _should_ PF>> reboot the computer, no questions asked. JDG> I don't agree. C-A-D seems to be 'stronger' then JDG> Control-Escape. 5 minutes JDG> before I wrote this message, Warp Connect crashed. I JDG> couldn't even move my mouse. Pressing Control/Alt- JDG> Escape didn't react. But pressing C-A-D did work! You're only buttressing my point -- this is exactly why I want CAD to bypass any UI code. You probably noticed that, in your above situation, your file systems were shutdown cleanly. [Tip: ctrl-alt-del a second time will often work when c-a-d once does not -- the first time gives WPS a chance to clean things up, but since 90% of the time a hosed WPS and/or PM are the reason why you are CAD'ing in the first place, it may not work. The 2nd time, the file systems are shutdown and the system is really rebooted. If CAD the 2nd time does not respond, then you can really say "Warp connect crashed", otherwise, it was only an application or warp-component that went south]. --- Maximus/2 3.00* Origin: Sol 3 * Toronto * V.32 * (905)858-8488 (1:259/414) SEEN-BY: 270/101 620/243 711/401 409 410 413 430 807 808 809 934 955 712/407 SEEN-BY: 712/515 517 628 713/888 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 259/414 400 99 250/99 3615/50 396/1 270/101 712/515 711/808 809 934 |
