actually, since its been a while since i've built any machines for anyone,
i'd have to say "quite a while"...

now, i was being pedantic ... your statement seemed, to me, to be
a blanket statement and covering all situations which i knew was false and
thus my post... i have built, in the past, several hundred machines that
did not get the network protocols installed by default... networking was
not needed or desired... yes, win9x, winNT, and w2k machines...
