-=> Quoting Pierre Vandevenne to All <=-
PV> Hello,
PV> One of my customers would like to protect some files on his OS/2
PV> systems. More precisely, he would like to limit the access to data
PV> files only to some specific application programs. He is not looking
PV> for military grade security, he just wants to prevent the average user
PV> to tamper with the files.
PV> I have three questions
A very simple method (in my eyes) would be to "open" the files in
a "deny-all"
mode and keep them open. Now of course this assumes the task "opening" the
files can't be closed.
And of course, I'm just looking for a quick and dirty way. But it would be
easy enough to code a program which opens files and keeps them open and
perhaps a selective way (semaphores?) to close certain files for access by a
specific task.
Just a shot in the dark, so if you shoot back warn me to duck ..
