   Even if I know it's bad manners, let me answer that question with a
question: what do you expect from an IC?

   For several years Ward had to take all kinds of shit from (mostly) a
handful of grunt Z1 sysops. Eventually this same handful of grunt Z1 sysops
staged a coup where they claimed to have replaced Ward as IC with Malcolm.
And the claimed reason was something Ward had done.

   So now the coup makers claim we've got a new IC. And this IC has done
absolutely nothing for more than a year. Sure enough, if you want to remain
long enough in politics, you should keep as low a profile as possible, but
surely you can agree, that this is not a political arena, but a technical
one? And in a technical environment, at least *I* don't think that
maintaining a low profile has any benefits at all.
