Christians made up 76.46% and the other cults made
up 3.72% of the American adult population.

The atheist population in USA prisons was 0.21%
(less than one per cent) in the year 1997. Over
80% of the prison population is made of Christians:
the rest are members of other cults.

That is because it is a very lucrative business.
