G'day Bill,
On 05-03-95 19:01, Bill Grimsley said to Jeff Green
BG>> I doubt that's the problem, now that you've indicated that you
BG>> may not have CTS/RTS flow control enabled in your modem. Set &K3
BG>> right now! |-)
JG>> Nah, flow control is correct.
BG> Damn, I'm at a loss then.
Yep, but I still have one or two things to try before burning the modem as
a heretic. Not this weekend though as there is a party to attend.
JG>> I'm really begining to think it's my modem. Don't forget that
this Netcomm
JG>> M7F (Series 3, latest ROM) will NOT talk with a Netcomm M34.
BG> True, and the current M11Fs won't even talk with the newer M34Fs
BG> either. Fucking great testing by Netcomm, I don't think.
Yeah, but at least they're consistent :-) I can't fault there customer
service either. The hardware of course is a different matter entirely.
BG> Indeed it is. So when are you buying _your_ USR? |-)
I'm looking around at the moment for a new one.
BG> BTW, if you're at all interested, Laserbaud in Victoria are
BG> selling the V.34 Sportster for just $399 (unapproved of course,
BG> if that matters), and delivery of mine is imminent (internal
BG> model is $20 cheaper). I'll let you know how it performs, but if
BG> it's anything like the Courier I tested, it'll be fantastic.
Let me know how it goes please.
