Joe, one of the things that varies among zones, is how much input is
expected ¨to be solicited from the regions (RC's solicit from their regions
in various ¨ways) on things. Z1 generally will ask for input if time is
given. I do not ¨know how Z2-5 do this or when. I do know it was a
problem with the Z1C vote ¨that elected Janis.
OHHH did I get beaten up over that from those not in the know! 2 Z1RC's
¨refused to have an open vote and insisted 'RC's vote as in P4' and that
they ¨didnt have to have a regional vote. Here I was, with 2 styles of
vote that ¨each region could select from (open to all nodes, or NC solicit
and vote) and i ¨got blown out of the water. Extremely ugly from my
perspective. I've still ¨got folks who think I'm the arch-angel from hell
who denied them an open vote.
Ah well, time moves on.
