Jeff, at 13:20 on Sun, Mar 19 1995, you wrote to Paul Edwards ...

Are you using Ray Gwinn's SIO drivers? I hear that some versions are
buggy, but I've had no problems with either 1.20 or 1.30 (which is what I
currently use). How are you installing them from config.sys? Like this...
?

DEVICE=D:\OS2\SIO.SYS (2:57600,2F8,3,-)
DEVICE=D:\OS2\MDOS\VSIO.SYS (2:57600,2F8,3,-)

The hyphen is an undocumented parameter which supposedly permits sharing of
the serial port, but I've never needed to use it (not that I know of
anyway). Once again, the mode statement I use with great success (in fact,
just to be sure, my entire bt.cmd) is...

echo off
cls
MODE COM2:57600,N,8,1,DTR=OFF,RTS=HS,OCTS=ON,TO=ON,XON=OFF,BUFFER=ON
if exist \point\binkley.log del \point\binkley.log
if exist \point\squish.log del \point\squish.log
if exist echotoss.log goto Pack
sq386p out squash
goto DoBink
:Pack
sq386p out squash -fechotoss.log
if exist echotoss.log del echotoss.log
:DoBink
bt32
:AfterBink
If Errorlevel 255 goto DoBink
If Errorlevel 254 goto End
If Errorlevel 70 goto DoMail
If Errorlevel 20 goto End
If Errorlevel 1 goto Quit
:DoMail
sq386p -fechotoss.log in out squash link
if exist \point\inbound\z3diff.* call \point\compile.cmd
wimmp
if exist echotoss.log del echotoss.log
goto DoBink
:End
me.cmd
goto Quit
:Quit
cls

I trust you also now have &K3 set in your Netcomm? If none of the
above works, it's time to buy a new modem IMO. |-)

Regards, Bill
